For those who keep up with me at Bluesky, they know I've been talking about really, really heavy topics recently. Grooming, pedophilia, and how people have been defending this behavior and the peoples perpetuating it. I want to talk about it.

UNDERTALE Yellow
I'll start out with the situation regarding UNDERTALE Yellow. If you're unfamiliar with what Yellow is, it's a fangame based on UNDERTALE that focuses on a hypothetical human falling into the Underground before Frisk did, named Clover. However, one of its team members, Ryla, has groomed and sexually manipulated many, many people during her time online. About a week ago, a victim came out on Twitter. We'll call this victim "A." On Twitter, she talks about her history with Ryla and how in 2017, she's been used sexually by her. The thread also went into detail about how A tried desperately to reach out to UNDERTALE Yellow's team, only to get written off by multiple staff members. She wrote an e-mail to MasterSword, the lead, only to get ignored. That's when a friend stepped up and e-mailed him on his own accord. We'll call this friend "B." That was the only time MasterSword replied, but he claimed it was already solved and that Ryla was off of the team since 2019. However, this was false. She was still in the official UNDERTALE Yellow Discord server, her credit was set as a "Special Thanks" in the game credits, and she still talked to UNDERTALE Yellow team members as recent as 2 days before A came out. Not only that, but it conflicts heavily with how A was told to "stop bringing up drama" any time she talked about her experiences.
This pissed me off. I have been groomed multiple times, and it broke my heart to see her be written off time and time again. I knew about this situation for many months, but it wasn't my place to say anything before the victim. So, when A came out, I supported her with my full chest and cross-posted her thread to Bluesky. I wanted change. This shielding of a predator sets a precedent. Upon talking with my friends, that's when I learned even more. She groomed my partner as well, sending them a picture of her ass to them while they were a minor. Not only that, but she's sent this same picture to MULTIPLE people, often deleting it afterward. The worst part is, this commonly took place in a server full of minors. Worse, it was in an NSFW channel WITH minors and adults.
I shared my partner's story and others who were willing to come out about it. A good friend of mine also boosted these stories to get traction, which meant a lot to everyone involved. We'll call her "C." It started a conversation between her and MasterSword, but it wasn't very productive. I'm not at liberty to talk about anything that wasn't publicly mentioned, but I will say that MasterSword was a bit dismissive. He also just, kicked her from the UNDERTALE Yellow Discord. Not a ban, a kick. It's not that hard to ban a predator, so why just the kick?
UNDERTALE Yellow had quietly pushed out a patch. People in the repies on GameJolt were calling it drama. It disgusts me, but I know these aren't people who are willing to listen to victims. I've had naysayers claim I view these people as "sheep," just expecting people to trust me at my word. I understand that when I first made the thread, there was only testimony. However, multiple people coming out, on top with screenshots and Discord message links (which can't really be faked easily), should at least give me some credibility. It didn't for some, so I just blocked. It's not worth arguing, because they just want to protect the people they like. And I get it. But it's not a hill worth dying on.
So Sorry, Samael, and Floraverse
A few days after my cross-post, a video about Samael, the creator behind So Sorry in UNDERTALE, was released. Created by LagoVirt, it goes into the first scuffle between Samael and Toby Fox, then explaining their connection to Floraverse. It also covers how Samael and those in Floraverse have harassed victims into silence, claiming they're lying. It's a genuinely good video, and I shared it on my Bluesky. I'll share it here again.

"Cult" is not used lightly here. A lot of the tactics used remind me strongly of the Elan Boarding School, especially with "scenes."
Last night, someoned I looked up to, Punkitt, made a post denouncing the video. It broke my heart because she wrote it off as a "lolcow drama video." "Lolcows" are what certain people use to describe someone you can bait reactions out of and laugh at. I don't really like these terms or content that talks about it. This video about Samael is NOT a lolcow video. It gives light to a horrible situation and talks about its impact on its victims. It gives the victims a voice. However, that's not what Punkitt believes.

When she posted this, I was hoping desperately that she just was uninformed. I was begging internally that she just gave it a passing glance. However, that's unfortunately not the case...

I don't care about floraverse or any of that shit, if this was about preventing harm in the future it wouldn't be framed like "look at this FREAK i found, aren't they shitty and weird?" The spectre of trying to make a lolcow out of anyone haunts these type of videos
"I don't care about floraverse" says enough. She goes on to say shit like how Samael is queer and autistic, and doesn't deserve that kind of video or whatever. News flash: I am queer and autistic. I've also been in furry spaces all my life despite not being a furry. And you know what? I don't fund zoopedo cults. I don't support people who harass victims of grooming and rape offline. I don't DO any of that. And it's so, so disgusting she's defending this kind of thing. It made me sick to my stomach, because around 2021, she inspired me. She inspired me taught me to be more accepting, understanding. Something I took from her was her phrase, "do whatever you want forever." This started over mia arson crimew getting flack for identifying as a bisexual lesbian, which, in hindsight? Harms no one. It's label discourse for the sake of discourse. Seeing how Punkitt explained her point of view, it was a very formative moment in my life.
And now, it seems like "do whatever you want forever" includes grooming people and harassing those victims offline.
There's a victim of Floraverse that has been speaking out recently. Please, do me a favor and support them. Their name is SNES9X and they have multiple threads talking about the damage control Punkitt is doing, because as it turns out, she's friends with many folk in Samael's and Floraverse's circle. It's disgusting.
I've been blocked by them a long while ago, so unfortunately I cannot share their story on my Bluesky. I respect that, and will not ask to be unblocked. I also just... want their story out there. I hope they understand.
